Team Twilight!
Posted by Michelle on 31 Jul 2009 || 2 Comments
When all is said and done, we are Team Twilight. Summit is making business decisions. Whether we agree with them or not, we have a lot to be thankful to Summit for. They went out on a limb when they were a struggling studio to bring our beloved characters to life. We owe all the actors an incredible debt of gratitude as well. They have proven over and over again that they “get” these characters and love them as much as we do. And where would we be without the fan sites?

Radar Online asks Fans About Rachelle
Posted by Michelle on 30 Jul 2009 || 11 Comments
The one thing that all the sites agree upon is that they're going to give Bryce Dallas Howard a chance. BellaandEdward.com told us "I, personally, am not mad at Summit Entertainment for replacing Rachelle Lefevre. Things like this happen in the movie industry and we, being fans, just have to go with the flow! :) I'm not saying it's not going to be weird seeing a different Victoria on screen for Eclipse, Rachelle was the first and original Victoria! Obviously Rachelle was a great and she will be missed! However, I am very excited to see Bryce Dallas Howard's portrayal of Victoria. I think she can bring something new to the table, another side of the "movie Victoria" we saw in the Twilight movie. I'm definitely willing to give her a chance!"

A Note from Summit
Posted by Michelle on 29 Jul 2009 || 29 Comments
We at Summit Entertainment are disappointed by Rachelle Lefevre’s recent comments which attempt to make her career choices the fault of the Studio. Her decision to discuss her version of the scheduling challenges publicly has forced the Studio to set the record straight and correct the facts.
Ms. Lefevre's representatives were advised as early as April that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE was expected to start shooting in early August.
If Ms. Lefevre was, as she describes “passionate,” about being part of THE TWILIGHT SAGA, we feel that she and her representatives would have included us in her decision to work on another film that would conflict with the shooting schedule of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE.
It was not until July 20th that Summit was first informed of Ms. Lefevre’s commitment to BARNEY’S VERSION, a commitment we have since been advised she accepted in early June. Summit had acted in good faith that she would be available to fulfill her obligations both in terms of rehearsals and shooting availability for THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. We feel that her choice to withhold her scheduling conflict information from us can be viewed as a lack of cooperative spirit which affected the entire production.
Furthermore Ms. Lefevre took a role in the other film that places her in Europe during the required rehearsal time, and at least ten days of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE’s principal photography. This period is essential for both rehearsal time with the cast, and for filming at key locations that are only available during the initial part of production.
Contrary to Ms. Lefevre’s statement, it is simply untrue that the Studio dismissed her over a ten day overlap. It is not about a ten day overlap, but instead about the fact that THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE is an ensemble production that has to accommodate the schedules of numerous actors while respecting the established creative vision of the filmmaker and most importantly the story.
The fact remains that Ms. Lefevre’s commitment to the other project - which she chose to withhold from Summit until the last possible moment - makes her unfortunately unavailable to perform the role of Victoria in THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE.
Rachelle's Reaction....
Posted by Vi on 29 Jul 2009 || 35 Comments
Summit Entertainment announced the replacement of “Twilight Saga” star Rachelle Lefevre in the series’ third film, “Eclipse,” on Tuesday night – and fans weren’t the only ones surprised by the news — Rachelle was shocked as well!
“I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria for ‘Eclipse,’” Rachelle said in a statement to Access Hollywood.
On Tuesday, Summit announced that Bryce Dallas Howard would be taking on the role in “Eclipse,” due in May 2010.
“I was fully committed to the ‘Twilight’ saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria,” Rachelle continued, explaining the turn of events that led to the casting change. “I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. My commitment to ‘Barney’s Version’ is only ten days. Summit picked up my option for ‘Eclipse.’ Although the production schedule for ‘Eclipse’ is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for ‘Eclipse,’ never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10 day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.”
The star concluded her statement with a regretful tone.
“I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the ‘Twilight’ audience. This is a story, a theatrical journey and a character that I truly love and about which I am very passionate. I will be forever grateful to the fan support and loyalty I’ve received since being cast for this role, and I am hurt deeply by Summit’s surprising decision to move on without me. I wish the cast and crew of ‘Eclipse’ only the very best,” she said.

Eclipse Cast Member Change!
Posted by Vi on 28 Jul 2009 || 66 Comments
Los Angeles – July 28, 2009 – Summit Entertainment announced today that Bryce Dallas Howard will take over the role of “Victoria” in the studio’s upcoming production of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE. Actress, Rachelle Lefevre, who portrayed the character in TWILIGHT as well as the upcoming release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, will not continue in the role due to scheduling conflicts with another commitment the actor has made. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE will start filming in Vancouver this coming August.
THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, the third film in the studio’s TWILIGHT film franchise based on Stephenie Meyer’s blockbuster book series, will be directed by David Slade from a screenplay written by Melissa Rosenberg. The film will be released theatrically in North America on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.
“We are incredibly happy that Bryce has agreed to come into the franchise,” said Erik Feig, Summit’s President of Worldwide Production and Acquisitions. “Rachelle brought “Victoria” to great screen life and Bryce will bring a new dimension to the character. The franchise is lucky to have such a talented actress as Bryce coming in to fill the role.”
Howard most recently starred in TERMINATOR SALVATION as Kate Connor and has been seen in SPIDER-MAN 3, LADY IN THE WATER, and THE VILLAGE. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for her leading performance as an actress in the HBO film AS YOU LIKE IT.
In THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life."
Thanks to Summit Entertainment for the news!

"Top Ten New Moon Facts Revealed at Comic-Con"

9. Twilight fanaticism was as strong as ever this year.
While nothing could top the ear-piercing and unexpected sounds of thousands of girls at the Twilight panel last year -- where fan boy culture's hold on the Con was hijacked by a vampire romance, of all things -- 2009 sure came close. And Twilighters were better prepared for the challenge of getting a coveted seat in Hall H for Thursday's panel; a few fans camped out a full two days ahead, and by Wednesday morning, Twihards were Twittering from the line.

The Examiner on The View Point Inn
Posted by Michelle on 27 Jul 2009 || 3 Comments
I recently had the opportunity to speak with one of the inn’s co-owners, Angelo Simione, and find out more about this remarkable place and how we can help save it -- if we ban together. The View Point Inn was built in the early 1920’s and was acquired by its current owners, Angelo Simione and Geoff Thompson, in 2003. When they purchased the inn it was “vacant, extremely rundown and practically condemned” according to Simione. But the arduous task of restoring the inn to its former beauty was not the principle challenge for Simione and Thompson. They had to battle Multnomah County, Friends of the Gorge, Columbia River Gorge Commission, and the US Forest Service to even obtain the legal right to reinstate the inn to its original use as a hotel and restaurant. Some objected that the inn detracted from the natural surroundings, and it took three years, many thousands of dollars, and countless fatiguing hours of work with a land use attorney before Simione and Thompson were able to legally operate the inn according its intended design.Lee Safar Interview

Yeah, I’ve noticed that. And we haven’t really massively campaigned for it. I mean, I thought it would be a really nice thing to happen, since I’m such a big Twilight fan. And the Twilight community just picked it up and it went crazy.

A Report from Comic Con!

The line for Hall H was seemingly endless. Hundreds of people were in line even before the convention preview night started. The morning of the panel, while most diehard Twilighters were waiting in line after a sleep=deprived night, Summit hosted a press conference with Robert, Kristen and Taylor. It was a completely different vibe from the panel, as there were only about 100 people there, all professionals... which means no screaming girls. The actors were great, answering the questions with relative ease and charm, even posing for photographers. A video of the press conference will be coming shortly, but for now, here are some pictures that were taken.

Seventeen Ashley Blog
Posted by Robin on 25 Jul 2009 || 0 Comments
Hi girls!
Last week, we had a really fun visit with New Moon's Ashley Greene! She came to the Seventeen office and hung out with us for an hour! She's so cute in person, and really nice, too! One of my favorite things she told us is that Seventeen was the only magazine she had a subscription to as a teenager. She said she loved reading it!
Then, I asked her about the guys that she's been working with on the Twilight movies. She said that she and them play board games with each other all the time. "I feel like I buy a new game of Taboo every city I go to," she said, adding that it's her favorite game to play but it doesn't fit in her suitcase well.
I know New Moon is months away from being released, but I can't wait to see it. What about you?
XO,
A

Lee Safar on New Moon Soundtrack?

HC: We already know a bit about "I'm Here," but what can you tell us about the second song under consideration? You are the first outside of my immediate team to know about the new song "Take Me Away." On Twitter I told everyone that I had a secret. Within a few minutes I got a Tweet back from Stu asking what the secret was. That's how secret this has been. Not even my publicist in the UK knew about it. This song has only been heard by a very select few as it is due for release on my next EP later this year. It's a very dark, powerful rock song, but in a different way to "I'm Here."

Knoxville Premiere Update
Posted by Michelle on 24 Jul 2009 || 1 Comments
There probably will be some 100 to 200 tickets sold to the general public for the screening. (That number could increase if any of the sponsors return tickets to the organizers). They are expecting tens of thousands of fans to vie for these tickets, so it’s a very competitive situation. Although they have sold such tickets for previous premieres at the Pinnacle 18 box office, the demand for "New Moon" tickets has the premiere organizers searching for a more orderly means of distribution. (They want to avoid having thousands of fans camping out at the theater.) Although this is not confirmed, one possible means will be a drawing. In this scenario, fans would be able to register their names at a Knoxville Regal theater (either the Pinnacle 18 or perhaps any Regal theater in town) for about a week, perhaps in October. Regal/Variety would then draw names and sell the public tickets to those fans whose names were drawn.
More details on the distribution will be ironed out and released in August, though it will likely be some time after that announcement before they register names for a drawing and set the process in motion.

In an attempt to discourage some of this, especially with the paparazzi, we have stopped posting pictures of cast members' personal time. We no longer post pictures of cast walking down the street, eating dinner, coming out of a club/restaurant, shopping, etc. Also, we try our best not to post anything personal on the cast that can't be varified, or that is obviously made up, for example, recent baby rumors. (First and only time this will be mentioned.)
We have been discussing whether or not we should expand our ban. We have no problem posting pictures that were taken with the cast members' consent, such as those taken at events, autograph signings, with fans, etc. We are even willing to post set pictures from 'Twilight Saga' films. Our recent concerns are whether we should stop posting set pictures from non-Twilight Saga related filming. We all love the cast, and are grateful to them for being so kind and gracious. What we don't want is for them to regret becoming a part of the 'Twilight' world. We don't want them to lose their privacy, to have their safety put at risk, or to have stories simply made up about them, in order to sell magazines.
Since this is a fansite, we have decided to come to you, the fans. What do you think? Should we keep things as they currently are? Should we stop posting set photos from non-Twilight Saga films? Should we go farther, or have we gone too far already? Thank you for supporting BAE!

No, it's not going to be Italy, and the bulk of production will probably take place in Vancouver, British Columbia like New Moon did, but there will be a few choice scenes of importance in other locales as well.
For instance, Slade tweeted recently that after "[a] long day of scouting, [he] found [the] Newborn hideout and battlefield finally."
While he promised to "post pictures soon," he also said that he was "only adding locations [they] are not using at the moment until confirmed permitted etc."

The screens show Dakota Fanning as Jane and Cameron Bright as Alec, two of the most dangerous and specially gifted Volturi. Michael Sheen is off camera, but his chilling voice intones, "Let's see if she's immune to all of us. Shall we, Jane?" Dakota does two more takes of this scene, in which she has no dialogue. She spends long moments looking fiercely at someone (probably Bella) her smug smile slowly giving way to a quiet rage. In her red contact lenses, vampire makeup, and a coiled white-blond up-do, she is the perfect incarnation of a demon with an angel's face. When Fanning finishes the scene, she comes by with a quick hello before taking leave; up close, her red eyes are even more disconcerting.

Each chapter of the workbook gives you eight words taken from Twilight and even incorporates some text from the novel. How will learning vocabulary words in the context of Twilight be different from learning them the old way with flash cards?
Learning from Twilight is more interesting and more engaging than learning from flash cards. Plus students will truly remember the words once they associate them with scenes or characters in Twilight. It might be tough to remember that “affable” means “friendly and easy to be around,” but it’s easy to remember it once you make the connection that jacob is affable. Here are more: Emmett is burly, Edward’s eyes are ocher colored after he eats, Carlisle is urbane, and Jessica is verbose.

BellaAndEdward.com also has their very own meet-up room on Saturday morning from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. I haven't planned exactly what I'm going to do with that yet. It may be just a "come and say hi" kind of deal, which would be great because I would love to meet all of the fans! So once again, if you're going to be there please consider stopping by and saying "hi!" Also, if you have any ideas as to what we could do, please comment or email Michelle! More details on locations and such are here.
I can't wait to see everyone at TwiCon!

Rotten Tomatoes on New Moon Set: Part 2
Posted by Michelle on 21 Jul 2009 || 0 Comments
Perhaps an Edward-Felix fight had been filmed, but it was not while we were on set. In the middle of the Volturi chamber, the scenario was similar to the previous day: Bella (Kristen Stewart), Edward (Pattinson), and Alice (Ashley Greene) stood facing off against their Volturi hosts, Aro (Michael Sheen), Jane (Dakota Fanning), and Alec (Cameron Bright). In the scene, Edward rushes forward to stop Aro from "testing" vampire powers on Bella, only to suffer the crippling pain of Jane's power. It was a tough scene; the set was eerily quiet, save for the sound of Pattinson's body hitting the ground with every take.

How Twilight has Affected Forks, WA
Posted by Michelle on 21 Jul 2009 || 1 Comments
Fans have been flooding into Forks to see the real life version of Bella’s hometown since the series boomed in popularity back in 2007 after the debut of Meyer's third book in the saga, "Eclipse." Though "Twilight" was released all the way back in 2005, Gurling said it wasn’t until 2008 that the influx of visitors really hit — and it’s only been increasing. In June of 2008, 1,731 people signed the visitors log at the Chamber of Commerce. Last month, 8,312 visitors signed the log. That’s almost five times as many people, and Gurling assured us the number of visitors was the norm and unrelated to last month’s Forks Summer School. The mass amounts of tourism have raised local businesses to economic success. In addition to every store carrying some variation of “Twilight” merchandise — and a few newly opened shops (like Dazzled By Twilight, pictured above) that sell nothing but — local restaurants and lodging have seen a boom in revenues and even saved some, like the Forks Coffee Shop, from financial disaster.

Peter Facinelli has "Edward Envy"

While Edward can read minds, climb trees and dominate with his superhuman strength, Dr. Cullen has no bells and whistles.
"Couldn't I fly or something as well?" Facinelli complained.
"It's not like I can go into the Volturi lair and smote them with my compassion all, 'I am the most compassionate vampire in the world and am going to compassionize the hell out of you!'"

Noot Seear Interview
Posted by Michelle on 20 Jul 2009 || 0 Comments
This fall, she’ll get to show off a more literal take on her man-eating side when she makes her film debut in “New Moon,” the much-anticipated second installment in the “Twilight” series, which hits theaters Nov. 20. Seear tackles the role of Heidi, a member of an elite group of vampires known as the Volturi. Her special talent is — what else? — seducing human prey. But looks that could kill were only part of the job description, according to “New Moon” director Chris Weitz.
“We wanted someone who had an unearthly and unlikely beauty, but could also convey humor and menace,” explains Weitz, who reportedly also considered AnnaLynne McCord of “90210” before eventually settling on Seear. “It’s rare to find a stunningly attractive person who also happens to have the ability to act.”

Cameron Bright Interview
Posted by Michelle on 18 Jul 2009 || 1 Comments

Did you get to talk to Dakota before you started?
I actually met her a few years ago…[he confers with his Mom]…at the premiere of “Thank You for Smoking,” so I met her briefly. And I actually didn’t think she’d remember me at first, and then I got here, and she says, “I think we’ve met somewhere before,” so that was kind of cool. I haven’t talked to her before, other than that one time, and that was for like, five seconds. I’ve only been here for two days, so I haven’t really talked to anybody. There’s a dinner tonight for everybody in the cast, luckily I got here in time for that.

There are 3 of them, one for Bella, Edward, and Jacob and they cost $0.79 each. They're from the maker of Skybar candies. It looks like they're pictures from New Moon as well. The package says their names in red on the very top left corner and at the bottom it says "The Twilight Saga New Moon Heart's Desire Creme filled milk chocolate heart". The candy itself has Bella's name on the top, the Cullen crest in the middle, and the Skybar name on the bottom. They're quite tasty as well!

ACZONE Musical

"Twilight's" Michael Welch Serves Up the Ultimate Online Musical Experience for Allergan's Aczone Prescription Acne Medication: www.AczoneTheMusical.com
NEW YORK, NY--(July 15, 2009) - Once in a while something comes along that is so fresh, such a bold step forward, that it's a complete game changer. On the surface, www.aczonethemusical.com leverages the success of High School Musical or Spring Awakening, but that's where the similarities end. To start, www.aczonethemusical.com is an exceptional mix of originally produced glam rock with dazzling motion graphics and first-class choreography. The casting is a pitch-perfect fusion of all the classic high school archetypes: The Sympathetic Nerd, The New Girl, the Queen Bee, the Bubble-headed Cheerleader, the Bad Boy, the Jock, and the shy little Book Worm but with a modern sensibility custom-crafted for today's teen audience.
In the words of the Dimitri Falk, CCO of iNDELIBLE: "A witty musical felt like the perfect way to stand out in a crowded market of acne medications in a way teens could relate to. Teenagers are extremely savvy and spend a majority of their time online. They demand something bold and original to hold their attention. Fortunately, I think we more than achieved our goal."
"ACZONE: THE MUSICAL": is driven by three interrelated stories -- all relatable to the teen market. The school's Queen Bee and her minions makeover the new girl leading to unexpected consequences involving the school jock and the sympathetic nerd; the spunky cheerleader pulls a Cyrano de Bergerac by having the shy book worm write her love letters to the school's bad boy; and lastly, the sympathetic nerd builds a robot called "Lovebot" that can calculate love with absolute certainty that he uses to help woo the girl of his dreams.
"ACZONE: THE MUSICAL" is backed up by a full-scale marketing campaign featuring rising star Michael Welch of "Twilight." In addition to being the centerpiece of the musical itself, he will also promote the musical at various red carpet events, high-profile exclusive interviews, and user-generated contests. The campaign will reach a broader audience by partnering with pop-culture, music and teen-empowered community sites complemented by a robust social media campaign.
The videos are viewed in a fully interactive website, complete with a 'Backstage Area' boasting free music downloads, games and a look behind the scenes of the production.

And some wolves are kind of like...what look like Claymation versions. We are still in the late R&D phases of what Edward looks like when he's hit by sunlight, what the vampires look like when they're hit with sunlight, the diamond effect, and also the hallucinatory effect that Bella has when she hears Edward's voice and she imagines him there."

Hi guys, Nathan here. Now for something that you probably didn’t know about Ben and me. We’re into Twilight. Like IN TO it. It started when we were visiting our record label almost a year ago and they had a bunch of copies of the book laying around and I needed something to read on the airplane on the way back to Denver. Anyways – it was one of those obsessed-at-first-page type scenarios where I didn’t put the book down for two days and two nights until it was completely absorbed by my eyes and my brain. If you’d of told me earlier in my life that I’d be reading vampire love story saga I’d call you crazy, but sometimes life throws you curveballs…

Twilight: The Comic Book
Posted by Vi on 15 Jul 2009 || 6 Comments

Take a close look at the biology-class sketch we’ve obtained (that’s an empty dialogue bubble between their heads, if you’re wondering). What’s interesting to me is that it doesn’t look simply like an artist’s rendering of Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson. In fact, the characters seem to be an amalgam of Meyer’s literary imagination and the actors’ actual looks. The description of Edward from biology class: “His dazzling face was friendly; open, a slight smile on his flawless lips. But his eyes were cautious.” And Bella: “I was ivory-skinned …. I had always been slender, but soft somehow, obviously not an athlete…” To me, this graphic-novel Bella seems much closer to me to Meyer’s book than to Stewart’s sultry portrayal. The Edward shown is closer to Pattinson, but not a real duplicate; there’s something very winning in the sketch that I don’t see in Pattinson’s all-too-perfect tousled bronze locks and piercing eyes.
What do you think? If you’d like to see more before weighing in, pick up a copy of EW magazine, which will hit newsstands on Friday, July 17 — it contains finished illustrations of Edward, Bella, and Jacob."

Now, San Diego is ready for "New Moon" mania, and our own Hollywood Crush will even be embedding a reporter to camp out with the Twilighters, providing up-to-the-minute experiences while waiting in line. There also seems to be a little confusion about whether "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" will have more than one "premiere." Last year Twilight had fundraiser premieres and THE premiere in Los Angeles. The writer said he will try to clear this up in his next article.
In regards to the date of the premiere and the stars attending, nothing has been confirmed. TL Daily called Variety - The Children's Charity of Eastern Tennessee and learned that they hope to finalize the details in the next 30-60 days. Variety is also trying to come up with a package so that devoted Twilight fans will have the ability to buy tickets.

Christopher Heyerdahl on New Moon
Posted by Michelle on 13 Jul 2009 || 2 Comments
Heyerdahl adds: "Here's how I approach him. When Marcus is brought in, he's there against his will. He and his love tried to leave an awfully long time ago. Through a series of tragic circumstances, the love of his life was killed, and he's now being forced to stay and use his powers for the betterment of the Volturi. He's not exactly there, waking up and looking forward to eternity. When Edward and Bella come walking in, his ability to sense the power of their connection is something that wakes him up, brings him back from the boredom of that eternal life and sparks something in him that brings Marcus as close to excitement as he can get. That idea has to be contained and expressed as little as possible to his rather power-hungry captain-in-arms, Aro, which makes for a rather interesting conflict. You might not know it, but Marcus is pretty darn excited by this love that he witnesses. At the same time, it causes him great pain with the memory of what he had and lost. It was very complex to play, especially when you are doing it with so few lines. It will be interesting to see how it is cut together.Rachelle Lefevre Interview

"They have fantastic chemistry together on-screen and you know that's the kind of thing that becomes the source of rumours," Lefevre says.
"People want them to be together. People would love to hear that -- that they fell in love on the set and so they read that into everything they see.
"But all I've seen are two people who have beautiful chemistry on-screen and are bonded. Kristen, before Twilight, already had a huge resume and had worked with some heavy hitters, but she had also flown under the radar.
"And Rob, he was in Harry Potter (and the Goblet of Fire), so he had some experience with fame, but it was nothing remotely like this. So when two people go through that experience together -- the fandom and everything -- it's going to bond them."

View Point Inn for Sale
Posted by Michelle on 09 Jul 2009 || 6 Comments
THE VIEW POINT INN
Owners Geoff Thompson and Angelo Simione fought the government for three arduous years to save and restore The View Point Inn. They have saved it, but need to pass the torch on to someone who can continue the necessary restoration process to ensure the Inn lasts another hundred years. The Inn needs a million dollars worth of repairs and improvements. They have diligently sought investors and bank loans to no avail.“We are saddened to place The View Point Inn on the market and simultaneously are excited by the opportunity to be alive and able to secure the Inn’s future,” agreed Thompson and Simione. “We intend to scrutinize prospective buyers and ascertain their credentials and ability to continue operations of The View Point Inn as a hotel and restaurant. It is imperative a buyer works with us to transition the inn seamlessly into a new ownership.” Thompson stated emphatically, “Every single event booked at the Inn will take place. We will continue our service and commitment up to, during and after new ownership takes over.” The pair promises the property will only be sold to parties that will agree to continue The View Point Inn legacy as a Nationally Registered hotel and restaurant.
Thompson does not want to sell his dream, however, he is primarily concerned about what is best for The View Point Inn’s long term future. Had the capital for needed restoration from an investor or bank loan materialized, Thompson stated, “I would have continued with my dream. I love the Inn. If I have to let it go to save it --- that’s what I have to do.” Simione chimed in, “We want to see the Inn flourish, succeed and continue for hundreds of years as a great Oregon landmark. The three year battle with government hasn’t diminished our chutzpah, but it severely drained our wallets with all the exorbitant legal bills and financial upkeep the Inn required as well during that time without revenue flow. I’m not complaining. It’s just a fact.”
Both owners reiterated, “We will continue operating the Inn throughout this process without any interruption in service and continue booking and servicing all events.” Thompson wished to drive his point home again saying, “The Inn will continue to operate and is not closing regardless of a sale.”
The View Point Inn is listed with Coldwell Banker. The broker is Jean R. Beymer.

It is being developed by Overture Films.
Hardwicke, whose other films includes teen coming of age tale "Thirteen" and biblical drama "The Nativity Story" spoke to Reuters about connecting with teenagers and life after "Twilight."

Justin Chon Interview on Naturally Savvy
Posted by Michelle on 08 Jul 2009 || 1 Comments
Naturally Savvy Question (Andrea): How do you maintain balance in your life?I own retail stores called “Attic” where we sell limited edition Nike shoes, contemporary street wear and local brands from LA and Orange County. We have two locations – one in Buena Park and one in San Diego. The stores keep me busy when I’m not filming a movie.
I’m always in my home town Irvine CA. I go to the same restaurants and hang out with my same friends as I always did. I try to keep in perspective that ‘work is work’ and ‘life is life’. I try not to bring work home with me and I try to keep a level head and not let the hype get to me. To be honest, in the end, all that matters is if I’m happy.
We are all the same and there is no need to be pretentious. I am happy things are going well for me.

Potter Stars on Robert Pattinson

Speaking at a press conference, Radcliffe said: "I won't pretend we're best mates or knew each other really well but we really enjoyed working with each other, or at least I enjoyed working with him! He's doing brilliantly, which is fantastic."The thing that is interesting for me, is that Twilight is the only other franchise that comes close to Potter in terms of the mania that surrounds it, the attention that the leads get and just how global it is."
Felton added: "It's just great to see someone who has been in Harry Potter have a life after it, and a much bigger one! So I wish him all the success and I will see Twilight soon, I promise!"

New Moon Sneak Preview
Posted by Michelle on 07 Jul 2009 || 5 Comments
"A source very close to Summit Entertainment and some other theatres has recently revealed information on the upcoming New Moon advance peek in theatres. On several occasions it has been heard that Bandslam (High School Rock) would premier the New Moon advance (although MTV has the exclusive). It turns out that Bandslam will have an advance peek into New Moon, the movie that is managed by Summit, an advance peek of more than one minute. This advance sneak peek will be exclusively for the movie Bandslam (High School Rock) due to the fact that the sneak peek is included, and will be in theatres by August 14. Now, one of the reasons we bring attention to this “rumor,” is because some theatres in other countries cut this sneak peek by the time we get to the movie hall. Now, we all know that Twilighters have been know to move frontiers, so we want to ask you guys to make your voices know. A piece of advice? Send messages to the theatres of your country, ask about this rumor in your cities, leave comments on pages like Cinepolis, Cinemark, Cines Argentinos, Cinemax, etc. so that this advance seek peek won’t be omitted and Twilight fans from all Hispanic countries can have an opportunity to see this footage like USA fans will."

The Quileute Nation
Posted by Robin on 07 Jul 2009 || 0 Comments
Locals marvel at how much she got right, but the economically depressed reservation is ambivalent about "Twilight" and how its 350 residents should capitalize on it. Compared to Forks, where visitors can pose with Bella's truck and participate in a "Twilight" look-alike contest, the reservation is cloaked in centuries-old anonymity.
"There are mixed feelings," says tribal council member Anna Rose Counsell. Over the last three months, the tribe has struggled over what to do. "This is a phenomenon that is happening whether we like it or not."
Tribal leaders hired a p.r. pro, Jackie Jacobs, in February after being inundated with "Twilight" inquiries. The tribe opened its Wednesday night drum circle to all visitors, which recently included two families of "Twilight" fans.
At the tribe-owned Oceanside Resort, director Renee Rux says business is up 30 percent, thanks to "Twilight." "It's been huge for us," Rux says. The resort recently partnered with a charter boat company to offer "Twilight" tour packages for $250...
Hospitality is an ingrained part of their culture, but elders are worried about building a tourist economy. They fret about how their creation story is portrayed in the book. The tribe says they were changed from wolves to humans by a traveler. Meyer took literary liberty, enabling them to change back at will in an eternal battle against vampires.
"This is our opportunity to educate people on Quileute history," Counsell says.

'Twilight' Spin-Offs?
Posted by Robin on 06 Jul 2009 || 23 Comments
Screenrant uncovered an interview with Radar Online in which they caught two of The Twilight Saga’s producers, Wyck Godfrey and Greg Mooradian at the 36th Annual Vision Awards in Beverly Hills late last month. When asked about the possibility of doing Twilight spin-offs once they run out of books, they had this to say: “Stay tuned. I think if our movies do as well as the first did all possibilities are out there. But right now we need to finish what we have and finish Stephenie’s vision as best we can and then let’s see where the audience demands us to go from there.”
So, what do you think? Are spin-offs a good idea, or should they end at BD?

UPDATE: Lainey Gossip has SEVERAL photos from this morning's set.
UPDATE: PopSugar also has pictures and a similar report.
UPDATE: The original source for the report is NY Daily News.
An inside source told press, “Robert is dying to get back home. He’s so over everything. He’s overwhelmed by all the girls — they terrify him! He says girls grab his neck and clothing all of the time, and he’s not used to that. Fans don’t do that to him in London. Everyone there is a little cooler about the fame thing, which is what he’s used to.”
The source continued, “He’s so skinny and stressed. Everyone on set is worried about him. Robert doesn’t understand why everyone is going so crazy over him. He’s embarrassed by the way girls throw themselves at him. The girls here are stalking him. He stayed in two different hotels over the course of four days just to try to escape the fans who were following him. He’s afraid that if he gives a hand, they’ll take the whole arm. He’s being advised by security not to encourage the crowd, so he doesn’t even look up anymore.”

Justin: The paparazzi were a total surprise. I think there's a picture of me with my mouth open. It's really pretty funny because I just had no idea what was going on. And I asked Anna [Kendrick], "Wait are they taking pictures of us?" We just had no idea and then we realized they were taking pictures of us and we were just like, "Whoa!"

Kiowa Gordon Interview

Surreal is a word Gordon used to describe his experience. And no wonder; he was a virtual unknown when he landed the coveted role. Prior experience includes bit parts in Rick Shroder’s “Black Cloud” and PBS Pictures’ “Skinwalker.” “New Moon” is his big break. Would you believe he got a “C” in his acting class at Cactus Shadows High School in Cave Creek, Ariz., his hometown? Fellow werewolf Meraz also lives in Cave Creek
The Sunday Paper: Peter Interview

We know “Twilight” fans can get pretty batty. Any close encounters?
They save all that for Rob Pattinson! My character is more of a patriarch figure, and the fans have been very respectful. I’m pretty easygoing and I stop and take a lot of pictures with them. Sometimes I find the more you try to run away from it, the harder it is. For Rob, it’s very overwhelming. For me, it’s the right amount. The perfect amount.

V.J. Chambers Interview
Posted by Michelle on 04 Jul 2009 || 19 Comments
Q: I remember when you first added me on Myspace, you said that I would probably like Breathless because I liked Twilight. (And, you were right!) Why do you think Twilight fans will like your story?
A: It's funny, because on the surface, Breathless isn't a lot like Twilight. After all, there aren't any vampires. I think, and this is difficult to be sure of, that I knew when I wrote Breathless that I wanted to try to create a story that "felt" like Twilight. I wanted to write a story about desperation and forbidden love and intrigue and suspense and the kind of romance that is just so intense, it swallows you.
I'm not sure if I did that, but for me, Breathless was always connected to Twilight in some ways. I wrote it a gallop after watching the Twilight movie, because something within the story made me want to tell a story of my own like that.
Sometimes I worry that the comparison doesn't really fit and that Twilight fans will be disappointed because of the lack of vampires or the lack of werewolves or even the lack of sparkling. But so far, the response to the book has been overwhelmingly positive, and I'm flattered and grateful.

RO: When I would take trips with my family our Dad would threaten to pull over and spank us every time, do you ever have to do that?
PF: Only three times a day. Don’t make me pull this 34 foot RV over, don’t make me do it!
RO: What do your girls think about Daddy getting recognized on the street?
PF: I think they’re getting used to it. It’s a little time consuming but I just try to give back to the fans. When I was growing up and I went over to the guy to get an autograph and he said no because they were too busy you would go home with that, so I try to really go out of my way to make sure that I’m good to the fans because they’ve been so good to us.
RO: Are you looking forward to getting back to Vancouver?
PF: Yeah, it’s so quick. It’s like a blink of an eye and we’re shooting the third one already. I had a little time this summer to hang with my family, then we’re going to New York to see my folks, and then I think we’re going to Hawaii for a week. I’m trying to spend as much time as I can with my family because in August I’m busy with the clips and then I’m going to do the second season of Nurse Jackie.
RO: Have you read the script for the third movie?
PF: No, I haven’t. I’m supposed to be getting it next week.

Edit// Just as a little add-on, here's a quote from Robert Pattinson's character (Tyler) in Remember Me as seen on Quote Book:
"Whatever you do in life will be insignificant but it is very important that you do it because… You can’t ever really know the meaning of your life… And you don’t need to… Just know that your life has a meaning… Every life has a meaning… whether it lasts one hundred years or one hundred seconds… Every life… And every death changes the world in its own way… Ghandi knew this. He knew his life would mean something to someone, somewhere, somehow. And he knew with as much certainty that he could never know that meaning… He understood that enjoying life should be of much greater concern than understanding it. And so do I."
