As you all know, Peter Facinelli mentioned in a recent interview that there could be a possibility of a special behind-the-scenes DVD for the Twilight movie. He said that, "Hopefully, if the fans petition, they'll come out with a documentary on the behind-the-scenes as a separate little DVD." MTV have a new article about the Perry Farrell song that will appear on the Twilight movie soundtrack.

Rose has emailed us with movie news from a Sam's Club newsletter:
I got the Sams Club "book" newsletter in the mail today. On the back cover was an add for the Twilight movie.
It also had an opportunity to buy your way into the movie premiere, to meet the cast, filmmakers, etc. You have to go to Samsclub.com on October 15th at 10pm in order to see the price.
It described it as a "once in a lifetime" opportunity, and only one package is available!
TST also have pictures of the newsletter, which you can see here.

Larry over at MTV had a chance to speak with Peter Facinelli (Carlisle Cullen in Twilight). During the interview, Peter was asked to compare the role he had 10 years ago as Mike Dexter in Can't Hardly Wait to his role of Carlisle, he was asked if he did anything crazy for his Twilight audition, about the reshoots, extra behind-the-scenes footage for the DVD, and much more. Here are a few excerpts:
MTV: Everyone is eager for info about the reshoots on "Twilight." How did they go?
Facinelli: Mine is basically a scene that shows us meeting the Indian tribe on their land and forming a treaty.
MTV: Did you enjoy wearing the 1930s clothes?
Facinelli: Yeah, I had on Old English hunting pants with high boots and an old '30s cap.
MTV: Any Mike Dexter moments where everybody turned against you?
Facinelli: I think someone might have called me a f-- [like somebody did to Mike Dexter in "Can't Hardly Wait"]. I'm looking around and screaming, "Did someone just call Carlisle a f--?"
MTV: You're like, "Pattinson! I know it's you!"
Facinelli: Yeah, and then Carlisle screams, "I'll kick everyone's ass in this room!"

Rob Pattinson Wins Best Actor for How To Be

Prior to Twilight, Robert Pattinson starred in a film called How To Be. In the film, he portrays the character Art who is going through what is termed a quarter-life crisis. For his role in the film, he won the Best Actor award from the Strasbourg International Film Festival in the category of Feature Film.

Michael Welch, who portrays Mike Newton in Twilight, has posted a blog from his MySpace site about his latest project, Speech & Debate, a play that is currently showing at The Blank Theatre in West Hollywood. He thanked everyone for coming to the previews and opening weekend. He also directed everyone to some photos of him and his co-stars, Aaron Himelstein (Fast Food Nation) and Mae Whitman (Hope Floats), in the play, which you can see here.

Twilighters.org have some unconfirmed information about the next Twilight movie trailer.
This is what they were told by their source:
I just wanted to let you know that the 3rd Twilight trailer will first be shown before Summit's Sex Drive movie. There will be sneak peeks for Sex Drive a week before it's release… so some of you will be able to see it then :) but Sex Drive will be officially released into theaters October 17.

In honour of Harry Potter's tenth birthday this week, MTV have asked a number of actors and musicians what they think of the phenomenon, and how it has affected their lives. Both Robert Pattinson and Kellan Lutz chipped in, and this is what they had to say:
Kellan Lutz ("Twilight"): "I love 'Harry Potter.' I actually wanted 'Harry Potter' as competition for 'Twilight,' because you'd be seeing the wizard side of fantasy and then jumping into the vampire life. Everyone I talk to is so obsessed with it. I always wished I had powers. I always wished I had a stick and a broom! It's a great story. It's so well-written. I think 'Harry Potter' hit everything. It set the precedent, that peak of Mount Everest, and we all want to climb that mountain. I just wish there were as many books to make movies of in 'Twilight' as there are in 'Harry Potter.' "
Robert Pattinson (Cedric in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," Edward in "Twilight"): "Does it make me a traitor? 'Harry Potter' was what made me become an actor. Greek online bookstore Bestseller.gr is reporting that the Twilight movie will be released on December 4th in Greece! The New Moon book has just been released in Greece and it is featured on the bookstore's front page here. This is what they have to say about the Twilight movie:

The official Twilight movie trailer in Spanish is now up on TwilightFever's YouTube channel. It's not a new trailer, but the logo has been changed to Spanish and the official release date for Mexico has been confirmed as November 21, 2008. Screenwriter Scheduled for Austin Film Festival

Melissa Rosenberg, the screenwriter for the film adaptation of Twilight, is scheduled to attend the Austin Film Festival in Austin, Texas, on Saturday, October 18th, at the Driskill Hotel. While there, Melissa will speak about the process of translating the film from the book to the big screen. Her presentation will also include a clip from the film. This is just a reminder that Stephenie Meyer will be on the Ellen Degeneres Show tomorrow on NBC. In her preview of the show, Ellen says she'll talk about the Twilight saga, the film, and ask her about Midnight Sun.
Stephenie was also writing a new book from Edward the Vampire's point of view, but certain chapters got leaked online, and now she might not even release it! (I'm gonna try my best to talk her into it, or at least have her give me the scoop on what happens!)

The poster was given out at July's San Diego Comic-Con, and measures 11"x17". It has the old release date of 12/12/08, as well as the 'When you can live forever...' tagline.
To enter, all you have to do is answer this very easy question: What is the new American release date for the Twilight movie?
Send your answer, along with your name, to the following e-mail address:

Anyone (from anywhere!) can enter, and we will let the contest run for just over a week, until Wednesday 24th September, when we will then choose an entry (with the correct answer) at random.

The Lake County News has an article about the Lake County Library, which is hosting a Twilight exhibit.
The exhibit includes photos taken around Forks, La Push and Port Angeles, a “Twilight” guide to Forks, and other materials. “Twilight”-related handouts will be available for fans of Bella and Edward.

MTV have two new Twilight reports. The first report is an interview with Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen) where he talks about Midnight Sun and that he feels Stephenie Meyer should take her time with the book.
“If I was Stephenie Meyer,” Lutz said, “and if I made that book — which is more heartfelt, like a diary in a way — it wouldn’t be out for years. I feel like she created it just for herself, and it’s sad that a part of her has been leaked, if that makes sense.”

"I am a former assistant manager at Hot Topic, and I heard first hand from the regional manager for SoCal that Twilight will be the biggest license Hot Topic has ever carried. Anyone remember all the merchandise they carried for Harry Potter? Twilight will have even MORE merchandise in HT than that. You can expect the amount and variety to escalate as Christmas approaches. Things such as Twilight notebooks, fragrances, binder paper, apparel, jewelry, pajamas (no joke) etc will be carried. Also, it's in the works to get more Forks merchandise, as well as merch featuring the Cullen crest. Unfortunately, they're only allowed to carry merchandise from the first book, so that means they won't carry (yet) Bella's bracelet, engagement ring, Nessie, etc."

Thanks to Barbara and Maggie, we have news that the Twilight movie may get it's worldwide premiere at the Rome Festival in Italy, on the 31st October. Bear in mind that this hasn't been officially confirmed yet.

Kellan: Rob is definitely Edward. He's so complicated, so poetic... I mean, you cannot help but like this guy! I'd say I'm definitely the protector type. I have six brothers and one sister, and I got beaten up a lot because I was in the middle. But then I learned to defend myself.
Rob: Yeah, Kellan protects me all the time. It's like having a globe around me. Really, he's like a globe of protection!

Rob's Songs to Be Featured in the Movie

Hollywood Insider updated their reshoots article with confirmation that Robert Pattinson's music will appear in the Twilight movie:
Twilighters, never fear. We want to clear up one crucial fact: Rob Pattinson's music will in fact appear in Twilight. According to director Catherine Hardwicke, two of Pattinson's songs that he wrote before Twilight started filming are going to be featured in the movie. In fact, they recorded them this month. And while Hardwicke wanted Pattinson to write Bella's Lullaby for the film, Hardwicke says Pattinson's music is very personal. "I don't think he does it on request," she writes in an e-mail. "His two songs are pretty great."

Retriever Weekly: Twilight Saga Review

Matthew Jones, a writer for The Retriever Weekly, has written a positive review of The Twilight Saga.
The only downside to these books (other then the huge number of pages), is the fact that they have ended their story. This series has a cult following and will undoubtedly be considered a cult classic in years to come.

A partial draft containing chapters of Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer has been leaked on the Internet without the knowledge or permission of either Stephenie Meyer or Little, Brown. Although these early chapters were never intended to be published in their current form, Stephenie Meyer has decided to authorize the posting of these rough, initial chapters on her website (www.stepheniemeyer.com) in fairness to her true, loyal fans. While no decisions have been made at this time regarding the publication of Midnight Sun, Stephenie Meyer is currently at work on other writing projects. Little, Brown looks forward to our continued publishing relationship with Stephenie Meyer and, like her many fans, we are eager to experience her next literary creation.

MTV have posted this week's Twilight Tuesday, and it's an interview with movie director Catherine Hardwicke.

MTV: The last question is a big one: When Edward and Bella kiss, is it a French kiss? Many of the fans feel that there needs to be tongue action.
Hardwicke: I agree! Everybody needs tongue action, believe me. And we put no restrictions on the actors; I did not have a camera inside their mouth, but I would believe there was a little tongue action from the passionate way they've kissed.

Fandom Unites to Support Stephenie

With regards to the events of the Twilight fandom recently, we, the administrators of several websites, have heard your pleas requesting something be done to support Stephenie. So, to answer the question of "what can we do" that we have heard repeatedly over the last twenty-four hours, we propose the following list of suggestions. Feel free to participate in one or all of the events.

4. For those of you graphics people who want to do something, we have another idea. We are going to make a virtual quilt. Send a 200 X 200 support graphic to twilightthanks@gmail.com and we will work it into a virtual support quilt. Make sure you put "QUILT" in the subject line.
5. On Saturday Sept. 13, in honor of Bella's birthday, wear a twilight themed t-shirt to show your love of the series. If you work or have other obligations that won't allow you to wear a Twilight shirt, wear all black, white, and red to show your support.
All entries for the video or quilt must be submitted by Wednesday Sept. 3, 2008. You are certainly welcome to do one in each category, but that is by no means a requirement. For those of you wondering what you can do to show your support for Midnight Sun, besides this, look no further.
There has been a new site created for exactly this purpose - SupportMidnightSun.com.
They will have several support campaigns in the future, as well as a 'Twilight Love' page, where they will be posting pictures of Twilight Saga fans and events.

Popstar Twilight Saga Contest: Update

Popstar has updated us on their Twilight Saga contest, and have let us know where the Twilight movie actors are ranked in the Celebrity Love Awards:
Currently, Robert Pattinson is in #5 - very soon he could actually make it to #4! His letters have started to drop off a bit though or he could likely have made it to #3 by now. Kristen is not far behind him in position #8.
Stephenie Meyer has quickly risen to #10. She was a late addition to the site so it's nice to see so many of her fans writing to her. Many have been writing supportive letters about the leak that occurred. She'll be receiving all of her letters in the first week of January so please encourage everyone to support her!
Other top celebrities from Twilight include Taylor at #14, Cam Gigandet at #19, with Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene trailing right behind him. Jackson Rathbone is at #23 and Nikki Reed at #25.
