Gorgeous Pics of the Forest

I stumbled across these three amazing pictures of a forest near a movie filming location today! And they're from a Twilight Mom again! 
They are seriously breath-taking, thanks so much to DazzlinDiamonds over at the Twilight Moms Forums for sharing these pictures with everybody! She even wrote a little something about her experience (click here to read the whole thing):
So we stop for a sec and kinda peek around the corner. We started to see trucks and lighting and crew. As we rounded the corner I looked to the left and I honestly,truly think I stopped breathing. There was Rob and Kristen's double being filmed. The camera was about 1 foot away from his face over Katie's left shoulder (is that her doubles name?). We were about 10 feet from this...I just about died. Honestly. Right there. Keeled over. Dead.

New Stephenie Blog

Stephenie Meyer has posted a new blog about her "The Host" tour over on her MySpace account. Head on over here to read it!
Just a reminder that many of the events on The Host tour still have tickets available. I’ve seen a few comments from people looking forward to the Breaking Dawn tour, so I wanted to reiterate that The Host tour is the last big tour that I will be doing. Chances are that if I’m coming somewhere close to you, I won’t be coming to the same city the next time around. Also, there won’t be as many events on the Breaking Dawn tour, which means not as many tickets. At most of The Host events, I will be able to sign a couple of your Twilight Saga books, so if that is your goal, don’t procrastinate.
Just a reminder that many of the events on The Host tour still have tickets available. I’ve seen a few comments from people looking forward to the Breaking Dawn tour, so I wanted to reiterate that The Host tour is the last big tour that I will be doing. Thanks to Coralie for telling me that Kristen Stewart was recently featured in the French fashion magazine Jalouse! The article mentions Twilight and Kristen's other movies, but because it's all in French, I really can't understand it. If anybody would like to translate it that would be very helpful! I get to the set again, and I'm outside, and it ain't gettin' any warmer. And by now it's almost 4 and I realize I haven't eaten anything at all today. But I'm commited. I get to meet some more TM's who have gotten there. L. is amazing. She's really down to earth and fun. R. is there also, and I'm sure she'll have stories of her own to tell everyone. Later D. gets there too. It was an impromptu Twilight Mom meet up!
We get to meet Micheal Welch. Who is cuter than a biscuit! Next to Emmett he's my favorite. Naw...that's not true. So far everyone has been so great, I couldn't put them in order, so I won't. But he comes over and talks to us for a bit, and again I use the insipid word 'nice' but he is!!! Must look up the word nice in thesaurus....
We're standing there, and it's getting later, and I'm getting colder and I still haven't eaten. But now that I've been here so long, I won't let myself leave. And all of a sudden D. says "There's Stephenie Meyer" and I look, and there she is!!!!!!

2. What's the better thing of being an actor? And the worst?
The best thing about being an actor, is being able to explore many different lives, in one lifetime. I hate the business aspect of acting. Auditioning, getting the jobs, making the deals, to me those are the worst. I'm happiest when I'm researching the role, or in front of the camera, creating.
3. Would you like to live of that for all your live?
Yes.
4. Did your family and friends help you to become an actor since the
beginning?
I had no family or friends in the business. I was just a kid, with a dream of being able to act. I went to school, stuidied acting, and am now fortunate enough to do what I love.

Okay, so according to the lexicon, Gil Birmingham has been cast in the film. His part has not yet been disclosed, but it's suspected that he will play "Billy".

Report from the Kalama Set

KiaBia from the Twilight Moms Forums just posted a report about being on the set of Twilight this week. Click here to read it! Here's a little snippet:
Day One-Tuesday, 3/18, got to the set at around 3:45 or was it 4. I forget. Either way, seeing the set on location was AWESOME! It was even more awesome when I was able to spot people...Ashley, Kellan, Kristen, Jackson, Nikki and of course Robert! It was cold that day and they were shooting and reshooting the scene where Edward first takes Bella to school, and when the whole school and Edward’s siblings are all shocked over the newly developed relationship.
They shot those scenes every way imaginable, first with both of Kristen’s doubles (I think there were two), and then with Edward’s double (who does have longer hair than Edward/Robert by the way). Anyways, a little after we got there the sun started shining through the clouds. They had to stop filming because the sun doesn’t shine in Forks, duh! So, anyways the extras and Catherine Hardwicke started doing a rain dance to bring the clouds on. It was so neat watching the the extras, because really, it was a long day of just watching them shoot and re-shoot so I can only imagine what it was like for the extras to be out there.

Wow, so many pictures of the Twilight set at Kalama surfaced on the web today! They are all of the cast and crew filming at Kalama/'Forks' High School. They were working on the car incident scene with Tyler and Bella. First off, we have the ones from the Twilight Moms (big, surprise, huh?). I've added those to the gallery here. Next, we have pictures taken by Twilight Vinculum, also of the filming at Kalama. Those have been added here as well! And last, but certainly not least, we have pictures taken by Kiz. Apparently they have added a new marina scene, that's not in the books, to the movie and the Twilight Moms managed to find out where they were shooting the scenes! Robert in SciFi Now Magazine

According to 1DRTWINS over at the Twilight Moms Forums, there was a short article published in SciFi Now magazine about Robert Pattinson and his role as Edward. She also managed to snap a picture of it with her phone. The quality isn't that great, but here's what it says:
PATTINSON GETS VAMPED
Facts: Robert Pattinson has been cast in the upcoming adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight. The young actor will take on the role of Edward, a student at the local high school who leads a double life as a vampire. His life is complicated when he becomes romantically involved with his classmate, Bella.
Comment: Pattinson's acting was passably decent in Harry Potter And The Goblet of Fire, even if he does seem a little old to be playing a high school student. Stranger things have happened at sea, we suppose.
Not the most accurate thing, but still something Twilight related! I've added it to the gallery here.

The lovely moms over at Twilight Moms Forums have even more pictures for us! They managed to find out the location where the baseball scenes will be filmed! I've added eight pictures of the baseball field to the gallery. They also got a few pictures of the cars used in the Twilight movie. I've added six car pictures to the gallery as well! The Daily News Online just posted an article about Twilight filming in Kalama High School set to begin next Monday and run until Thursday. It was also said that:
High school principal Mike Hamilton said filming could be extended to March 24 and 25 if needed, and crews expect to be gone by March 28.

Twi-hards, I know some of you are probably worried about certain choices. But as far as I can tell, it looks like Catherine and Stephanie have put together a near-perfect cast. The Cullens, the high school kids, everyone seems exactly right for their character. I know that sounds like self-promoting BS, but I wouldn’t lie my Twi-hards. If I were worried about the cast, I just wouldn’t say anything at all. Plus, we get along well as a group, so hopefully we can have some fun and create something cool together. We’ll see what happens, but I am pumped kids! We start the high school stuff on Monday.

As promised, Seth has posted the information and dates for Stephenie's The Host tour this May! The tour will start May 6, 2008 and run until May 23, 2008. Stephenie will be doing a total of 11 signings this year. A couple of his friends, who I didn't really know, overheard. They were big fans of the books! That was one of the first things that got me really excited about it, because they had read them, and they knew all about it. That was the first hint that this was as big as it is."

A couple of days ago I got an email from a reporter from The New York Observer asking for a quick chat with me on why Stephenie's books were so popular. She said she was doing an article about Stephenie Meyer and her vampire books for the newspaper and she wanted some input. Unfortunately, we had conflicting schedules so the interview never happened. Michael Welch dropped a quick note with the Lexicon a couple of days back and they posted what he had to say today!
Helloooooo Twi-hards!! Mike Welch/Newton here. I’m leaving LA tomorrow February 27, 2008 to begin a road trip, which will eventually lead me to Oregon, where I will finally begin work on TWILIGHT!!! It’s going to be off the chiZane. And if yall show up on opening weekend, I’ll get to do it again and again! Oh what am I saying, of course you will. You’re Twi-hards!! You have to make sure we present your baby properly, and serve justice to the Twilight franchise. I understand.
I can’t promise anything, but I will say that everyone attached to this project knows that they’re apart of something big, and potentially great. And when you
take into account the talent and experience of the people working on this movie, the incredible story and characters we have as our blueprint, and the will and intent to capture the spirit that makes Twilight so captivating, I would say the odds are in our favor to make a really fantastic film.
Well, I’ve gotta finish packing. Turns out I’m low on socks. I guess I’ll have to pick up more on the way. I hope there’s an In N’ Out on the way. I LOOOOOVE me some In N’Out. If you don’t live in CA or AZ, you don’t have In N’ Out Burger, so you don’t know what I’m talking about. But man! those are some tasty burgers.. Ok, see ya later. Puppy-Dog away!!

Cast of Twilight Sited Out Eating?

According to a report from a member of the Twilight Moms Forum, her cousin spotted the cast (well, Peter Facinelli for sure) of Twilight out eating dinner in Portland the other day! The member's cousin has not read Twilight yet, so she based this this siting on seeing Peter with some other people. This is a little of what was posted on the forum:
Cousin was at dinner on Saturday night with The Richies (I am not mentioning places because The VM said to be careful). The place she tells me about is SUPER NICE, and I could totally see them chillaxing there). Anyways, the server happens to be her friend and comes over while taking drink requests and says…So you see that table of five over there? Cousin and The Richies look, and the server says, they are in town for a movie. Cousin immediately perks up and asks what movie and the server says (and I asked her three times if she was sure) “some movie about vampires” all super nonchalantly, and after some more chit chat the server says “I have no clue who they are but the guy with the hat looks a little familiar.”
PEOPLE, the guy with the hat was freaking Peter Faccinelli, my cousin said she went to the restroom and got a good look at him and she’s sure it was him but his hair didn’t look right (she meant the blonde, since she only knows him as a brunette). And I tried to get her to describe the hat (using the description from the Rhonda and lynds pix?) and she was no help at all.
Anyhow, apparently Peter was there along with three other females that “did not look spectacular in any particular way” (yes, words from cousin) and another guy…(here it is) with a weird red dye job! Totally Rob but she had no pic for reference. DANG IT. And she said he was “messin’” with the girl next to him who looked average, dark brown hair, jeans and some Chucks (Kirsten???)! I asked her if they were touchy feely or just giggly and silly? But she stopped paying attention after 15 minutes.

I recently got an email in my inbox from Kaci and Angela saying that they've started an online petition to support Robert as Edward. They've asked me to let you guys know about it so that you can sign it and help them reach their goal! This is what they said:

Thanks to Shelly for point out that in the article I posted eariler, it sort of confirms Edi Gathegi as Laurent. This is the passage take from the article:

Movie Updates

According to this article, they will no longer be filming the movie at R. A. Long High School (but they're still using Kalama)! Instead they have added two new filming locations: Clackamas Community College and Madison High School! Also, it was said that:
Filming at Kalama High School has been extended by four days, and will occur March 17 to 24, while school is in session.
And this article has ranked Twilight as #2 on their list of "Top 50 book to movies." Thanks to Laura for the info!
