Robert on Twilight/BYU Article

Posted by Michelle on 30 Jan 2008 || 23 Comments

According to Robert Pattinson Fan a fan asked Robert about the Twilight movie while he was shopping for perfume in London. This is what he responded:

"Yeah I'm really excited about the movie but I believe I'm being butchered by the fans because they don't like me very much."

So give him a chance guys! After all, we haven't seen him act as Edward Cullen yet! You can decide on your opinions after you watch the movie!

In other news, there was an article that mentioned Stephenie Meyer in the Brigham Young University (online) magazine. It basically talks about their alumni and how two of them became famous authors. Click here to read the article. I've also added it to the press section on the site. This is what it had to say on Stephenie:

"Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series, composed of Twilight (Little, Brown; 2005; 498 pp.; $9.99), New Moon (2006), and Eclipse (2007), has ranked no. 1 for some time among YA series—ahead of no. 2 Harry Potter—on the New York Times best-seller list. A fourth novel, Breaking Dawn, is slated for publication in 2008."

More FAQ and The Host info

Posted by Michelle on 29 Jan 2008 || 1 Comments

Stephenie recently posted another blog update on her MySpace. This time she answered the question of how to get your own work published. She also stated that she just got permission to post a chapter of The Host on her website of Valentine's Day! It's not Breaking Dawn, but hey, it's better than nothing! laughing

Graphics: AGAIN

Posted by Michelle on 25 Jan 2008 || 0 Comments

Some of you may have noticed that the graphics were down AGAIN this afternoon. That was because I ran out of bandwidth on my Photobucket account for the month. A lot of you have been direct linking the graphics from the site and I want to ask you to please stop doing that.

So back to what I was saying, the graphics are up again now and I can assure you that they will not be down due to bandwidth issues ever again! I'm really sorry about this, but I will promise that it won't happen again! Thanks for being patient! smile

Twilight "In-Production"

Posted by Michelle on 23 Jan 2008 || 6 Comments

Twilight has been moved from "Pre-Production" to "In-Production" on Summit's website, but the cast is still listed as "To Be Determined."

Graphics Update

Posted by Michelle on 21 Jan 2008 || 4 Comments

TONS of new graphics have been added to the site. First off, I've added two new wallpapers donated by Katie and Audrey. Next I added six new movie character avatars that I made today. Hope you like them!

Then there's the signatures and blends. I've added three new signatures/blends, two of them from Andie and the third one made by me. And last but not least, three new manipulations made by Jennifer and Linda and two new digital fanarts made by Andie have been added to the gallery. Enjoy guys and thanks to everybody who sent in graphics!

New Forum Theme

Posted by Michelle on 21 Jan 2008 || 3 Comments

I've decided to try something new as far as color schemes go for the forum. I've moved to the pink colors! The new forum layout features Robert and Kristen and it's pink/brown in color. Go to the forums to check it out!

Forum Clean-Up Update

I've cleaned out the forums a little this morning to make it less clustered. Click here to read what's been changed.

Filming Locations for Twilight Movie

Posted by Michelle on 20 Jan 2008 || 2 Comments

It has been announced that the Kalama High School in Washington State will be used as a filming spot for the Twilight movie while the school is on Spring Break. Click here to read the article posted on TDN about it. I've also added it to the press section on iForks.

Also, I've added a press article by USA Today to the press section as well. It's called "Reading between the lines week by week in 2007" and Eclipse made the list! This is what they have to say about it:

This young-adult book about teen love, vampires and werewolves third in a series eclipsed Harry Potter for one week. The first book, Twilight, came out October 2005; the second, New Moon, in August 2006. Both made the list in 2007. Twilight is in pre-production starring Robert Pattinson (aka Cedric Diggory from the Harry Potter movies). In print in the USA for the three books: 4 million.

New Lists!

Posted by Michelle on 18 Jan 2008 || 1 Comments

Could it be? Finally a new list besides "over 600 ways to know if you're obsessed with Twilight" is here? Yep, that's right! After being overwhelmed with list suggestions for only one list on the site, I decided to do something different with it. I've added two new lists to the Fun: Lists section. They are "Things Edward Would Never Say" and "Things Bella Would Never Say." Submittions for the old list are closed (I think 600 something items is plenty enough!) and I will ignore any emails regarding old list additions.

Also, there's a new format for the list pages. It is similar to the "Why Twilight" pages (I don't have to update them manually anymore!) and it should be fairly easy to figure out. You can see it here. Start submitting those new list items! laughing

Open Casting Calls for Twilight Movie!

Posted by Michelle on 18 Jan 2008 || 6 Comments

Open casting calls for Jacob Black have been announced by Lana Veenker on her blog! The title reads: "THE SEARCH IS ON FOR NATIVE AMERICAN TEEN TO PLAY KEY ROLE IN MAJOR MOTION PICTURE." And it also states that "'Twilight' begins shooting in Oregon at the end of February!" Click here to read the whole thing and learn how to audition!

I've also added a new press article about the casting to the iForks press section.

Also, Oregon Film's Job Hotline page (here) has listed a call for people to help out with the Twilight movie. The details aren't too clear but it looks like they're looking for camera people and extras (according to the Twilight Lexicon). Here's what they've listed:

Twilight Productions, LLC
Call for Resumes for the Feature Film

"Twilight"
All Crafts
Prep begins 1/2/08
Shooting tentatively scheduled for 2/25 for approx. 8 weeks
Please email resumes to:

Posted by Michelle on 18 Jan 2008 || 2 Comments

I'm sorry for the little delayed reaction time here, I've been really busy lately.

Stephenie Meyer will be visiting Germany from February 28th to March 6th of this year! She will be visiting the cities of Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Tubingen, and Buxtehude. More information and exact tour dates can be found on her calendar. The events are ticketed, so get your tickets while you can!

Graphics Back Up/Forum Plans

Posted by Michelle on 15 Jan 2008 || 1 Comments

Thanks to Katie for telling me that the graphics for the site were down again. I'm really sorry for the short downtime we had with the graphics, but I've got them all back up now so they should be working. If you find anything that's not, please email me!

Also, as you can probably tell, I've added the poll of the month to the sidebar of the site <---- right there to the left, lol. So now you can vote by going there instead of searching through all those pages. :)

One last thing! There will be major changes to the forums in the near future. Lilyn, Molly, and I are thinking about doing a forum cleanup, so if you are an active member please click here for more information!

Polls Fixed

Posted by Michelle on 13 Jan 2008 || 1 Comments

I'm really sorry about the little glitch we had with the polls a couple days ago. I've been really busy so I haven't had the time to fix them but I finally got around to it today. So now if you click the link for polls here it should work. Please tell me if it doesn't!

PS: I've added some list suggestions.

Polls are finally here!

Posted by Michelle on 06 Jan 2008 || 3 Comments

I've been getting a lot of requests for me to add polls to the site. Well, good news, they're finally here! We will run this like we run fan of the month (except it'll be called poll of the month). At the beginning of every month I will choose a new poll and put it up for you guys to vote on. You can see the current poll on the new polls page here.

There's a little problem with it right now when I try to add it to the sidebar, but I'm trying to get it fixed. When I do, you will be able to access the current poll of the month directly from the left navigation bar!

Breaking Dawn Release?

Posted by Michelle on 06 Jan 2008 || 15 Comments

It's not official but Amazon.com has the release date for Breaking Dawn set as August 5, 2008. Click here to check it out and pre-order it.

Edit// WOAH, woah, woah. Hold it, forget I said anything before. Thanks to Phoebe for realizing that the link I posted was to the Breaking Dawn audio book not the actual book. There is still no release date on the book yet but accoring to Amazon.com the audio book will be released August 5, 2008. But you can still pre-order the book off of Amazon.

And another little note I would like to make. If you look at the records for the release of the other Twilight Saga audio books in comparison to the books it might hint as to when Breaking Dawn will be released. Both of the audio books for New Moon and Eclipse were released after the book's release. New Moon's audio book was released 22 days after and Eclipse's was just 8 days after. The audio book for Twilight, however, was release 9 days before the book's release.

So looking at this pattern I think we can assume that Breaking Dawn will be released before it's audio book. Which means, if Amazon is correct, we can expect it before August 5, 2008!

New FOTM: Colleen

Posted by Michelle on 04 Jan 2008 || 2 Comments

Congratulations to Colleen from the USA for making fan of the month for January 2008! You can read what she has to say on the left sidebar or right here!

Congrats again! laughing

Photobucket Images

Posted by Michelle on 03 Jan 2008 || 1 Comments

I'm terribly sorry about the images from Photobucket! As most of you have already seen, I've run out of bandwidth for the month. I will get this fixed when I get home from school this afternoon (I'm typing from my phone right now)! Until then I'm really sorry about all the graphics but to help this situation in the future please do NOT direct link any of the images on the site! Right click and save to your own server! That would help a lot! Thanks!

Edit// As promised, I have all of the graphics up again and most of the other images (except for the link buttons, please wait until tomorrow for those) should be working again. Again, I'm really sorry and thanks for your patience, and remember, please do not direct link!

Happy New Year!

Posted by Michelle on 01 Jan 2008 || 3 Comments

I wanted to wish everyone a very happy new year right now. I have no idea what I'm still doing up at this hour, but the point is, I'm up! And still awake surprisingly! May this new year bring you happiness and joy and all that good stuff! And thanks for making this an absolutely wonderful year for BellaAndEdward{dot}com! I really appreciate it! laughing

Also, I've updated all the forms on the site so that whenever you click to send them they don't take you to horrible advertisements anymore. Consider it a new years gift, lol. Only joking.

Fan of the Month

Month: November 2009

Name: Dana
Age: 19
Location: OH, USA
About: I was skeptical at first about the series. All my friends were reading it in 9th grade and I just wasn't into it. I had been burned pretty bad by a relationship and I just wasn't believing the whole 'love story' thing. Then, on one fateful night, I was at a book sale and was desperately seeking a new read. Twilight seemed to be glowing on the shelf and I was drawn to buy it. I didn't know why, like I said, I didn't want to even think about love. I went home and cracked open the fresh book. I instantly related to Bella. Her feelings became my feelings. Her curiosity became my curiosity. I carried the book around with me everywhere I went. I found myself even slowing down in reading it because I didn't want it to end. I closed the back cover and took a deep breath, then I realized something. I had learned to believe in love again. A simple book and taught me to believe in what I thought just couldn't exist. I also learned that every girl deserves their very own Edward Cullen. No one should settle for just some guy. He needs to be your guy. Your dream guy. Well, let's say I am not a skeptic anymore. As a freshman in college, I find myself having a lot of free time to re-read the books... again. I have my own 59 song playlist for all the books on my i-Tunes and I love that it brings me back to the moments in the books. I have met so many people just by saying that I am a "Twilighter". It amazing how passionate you can become about a novel. I am so happy I bought Twilight on a whim. It has transformed my life and taught me so much about myself. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my Twilight story.

Month: October 2009

Name: Felicia
Age: ---
Location: USA
About: Recently, my youngest aunt died unexpectedly in her sleep.I was left in the most depressed mood that I've ever experienced. I felt like something inside my heart had fallen out, was missing, and would never come back. It was a physical condition that literally made me uncomfortable. I thought of New Moon, and how Bella feels throughout that book. She is always holding herself together with her crossed arms. I realized that this was the closest description to what I was feeling. My chest hurt, like it was falling apart inside. Then I thought of how Bella turns into a zombie for several months and decided that I didn't want to be like that. I didn't want to lose myself in grief, and I know my aunt wouldn't have wanted me to do that either. I know that this case is different, in that I will never get that piece of my heart back for good, but I don't want to be like Zombie Bella. I want to be strong, like Bella becomes after her loss. I will never forget how Twilight helped me straighten my thoughts and fix myself in the worst times of my life. It takes an amazing book to do something like that. And an amazing writer to portray such a real and painful emotion so realistically. From all of the ways that Twilight has changed my life, this is definitely the biggest. It helpled to support me when I thought nothing could, and gave me hope when everything in my world was bleak.
