Movie: Exclusive Interviews: Peter Facinelli

BellaAndEdward.com: Besides Carlisle, who else would you like to portray in the movie?
Peter Facinelli: I remember reading the book and connecting with Carlisle. I'm very happy to be playing him. I don't think there is another role I would rather play.

BAE: Twilight has been said to be the next Harry Potter, how do you feel about being a part of this phenomenon?
PF: The Twilight books have been very popular, and I can only hope the movie is as successful as the novels. I am very excited at the possibility of being a part of making all of the books in the series into movies, like the Harry Potter franchise has done.

BAE: Where/how do you think this movie is going to differ from the book?
PF: I think some of the story has been condensed, as it is hard to fit 500+ pages into a two hour movie, and some of the action sequences in the book may go into more detail, adding some "action" elements, to the beautiful love story.

BAE: I've heard that there's a new scene at a marina that's been added to the movie. Can you tell us what that's about?
PF: Edward and Bella go scuba diving.... Just kidding. I'm not sure how much I can actually tell you as I wouldn't want to spoil any surprises.

BAE: What scene(s) are you most looking forward to being able to shoot (from Twilight and/or its sequels)?
PF: I really enjoyed playing "Vampire Baseball". And I hope if we get to do the sequels, that they have some fun action sequences of us fighting alongside the werewolves from Eclipse.

BAE: Are your daughters fans of Twilight?
PF: My oldest is ten, and she has just begun to read Twilight. I tell her tales from the books, or from Carlisle's backstory, as bedtime stories and she loves it.

BAE: Are you enjoying your two weeks off? :D
PF: It's always nice to get a little break, but I look forward to going back and finishing up. I've been spending most of my time in the shade, hiding from the California sun. Can't afford to get any color on my Forks pale skin.

PF: Thanks for all of your questions, and I hope you enjoy the movie.

About: I discovered the Twilight Saga before it became unbelievably popular, before the movies, before the character dolls, beforeÊ all the merchandise. My friend spotted it in a book store, just another book waiting to be read. The next day she insisted I read it, I said yes but not being a very big book worm myself, I read the blurb and just put it on a shelf. One day I had nothing to do, so I began to read it. From the first page I was hooked, I could relate to Bella as I had just moved away. I read the whole book within a day and needed to read New Moon! I became majorly obsessed with it. Words on a page had never made me feel the way I do when Edward picks Bella up after she has fainted, or when they are in the booth together at dinner. Twilight was special, one of kind. My friend mentioned a film was being made of it, so we tracked it on the internet everyday. There wasn't muchÊ to Google at first, but then the cast was released, then the videos, then the pictures! We slowly watched Twilight becoming more and more popular around the world, before we knew it, it was in every magazine, on the radio stations, and the cast became amazingly popular! I love all the books and both films so much it's hard to describe. I waited a year and a half for the film to come out, and it annoys me when people just make stereotypes of Twilight. Yeah it has a lot of awesomely crazed fans and it's immensely popular but that doesn't give people the right to say it's rubbish, or to call Rob Pattinson ugly, what has he done to deserve that? I hope people read this and change their minds about Twilight, I'm pretty sure any girl, and probably a few guys and relate to this because all in all, we all see a little bit of ourselves in Bella, whether it's the clumsiness or the courage. I know I've babbled on a bit but I just have one more thing to say, Twilighters, in my opinion, are the most loyal and amazing fans any franchise could have!

About: Twilight. Every time I hear this word, one specific phrase always comes to my mind. Forever - relationships can last forever. I lost my best friend about a year ago, and I would imagine my pain is just as strong as when Bella lost Edward. It hurts to lose someone you love, but we all have a different way of dealing with it. Reading was my way. I have been reading so many novels to get out of my life and into another characters it is crazy. Books were/are my distraction. But Twilight wasn't a distraction, it was my life. It made me realize I need to move on and find happiness. I don't want to continue to hurt and be stuck in this pain. And now I am making lots of other great friends. I would call these people the Jacob to my Edward. So Twilight, it is not a distraction for me, it is a cure.
