Well, we tried. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough. Entertainment Weekly has revealed the winner of it's "Ultimate Sexy Beast" tournament. You can read the entire story HERE.

When EW.com launched its ultimate Sexy Beast tournament on July 19, we were simply looking to have a little summertime fun...

Little did we know how heated the battle would get. In a 30-day period, and fueled by Facebook and Twitter campaigns for a number of our combatants, EW.com readers racked up more than 1.5 million votes, and whittled the field down to just two players: the Twilight saga’s sensitive heartthrob Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and The Vampire Diaries‘ winkingly nefarious Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder).

Still, the final Edward-v.-Damon showdown trumped ‘em all. Our polls were open for 72 hours, and midway through the final day of voting, the virile vampires were separated by less than 200 votes. With six hours remaining, and our finalists still locked in a statistical dead-heat, EW.com’s Sexy Beast special-ops team decided to hide our poll results, and began to plan a special issue of Entertainment Weekly commemorating a tournament that had becoming nothing short of an Internet sensation. When the blood, sweat, and broken fangs were wiped away, who was the winner? Let this be the official reveal: Damon Salvatore eked out a mild upset victory over Edward Cullen by a margin of 138,630 to 134,728, a difference of just 3,902 votes.

Jackson Coming Back To TV

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Jackson Rathbone is coming back to television.

Coming up necks for Twilight bloodsucker Jackson Rathbone: A potentially recurring role on ABC’s No Ordinary Family.

The 25-year-old actor—whose two summer films, Eclipse and The Last Airbender, collectively grossed nearly $1 billion worldwide—will play Trent Stafford, a high school classmate of Kay Panabaker telepathic Daphne. Trent was recently the victim of a home invasion robbery, and I’m guessing Daphne will join forces with her superhero parents to help catch the perp.

Rathbone last appeared on the small screen in 2009, when he guest-starred as a serial killer with multiple personalities on Criminal Minds.

N.O.F. premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 28.

Thanks to the lovely people at Puffin, we have a great contest for our UK BAE.com readers!

The Eternal Ones is a new YA book about reincarnation and past lives, complete with an epic romance that literally spans centuries. It was published on 19th August in the UK, and is priced at £6.99.

Here’s the book's summary, taken from Amazon.co.uk:

Haven Moore has always known she's different: there are the talents that can't be explained; the knowledge of places she's never been; and then there are the visions that overwhelm her - terrifying visions of a life that ended tragically two decades earlier and more than a thousand miles away in New York City. The citizens of Haven's rural, highly religious community, believe that she's been possessed by a demon. But this is no demon: it's reincarnation. Haven journeys all the way to Manhattan in search of clues about her past life and a decades-old murder. One wrong move could lead her into the clutches of the sinister villain at the center of a conspiracy much larger than she could have ever imagined. But if she makes the right choices, Haven will find the answers she's been seeking her entire life. This is an epic and thrilling romance set in the snake-handling churches of Appalachia, the dusty ruins of ancient Rome, and the grand mansions of Manhattan. The Eternal Ones tells the story of the first battle in a war between undying love and eternal evil.

To read more, check out the following 3 sample chapters here, here and here.

Here’s the book’s summary, taken from Amazon.co.uk:

Haven Moore has always known she’s different: there are the talents that can’t be explained; the knowledge of places she’s never been; and then there are the visions that overwhelm her—terrifying visions of a life that ended tragically two decades earlier and more than a thousand miles away in New York City. The citizens of Haven’s rural, highly religious community, believe that she’s been possessed by a demon. But this is no demon: it’s reincarnation. Haven journeys all the way to Manhattan in search of clues about her past life and a decades-old murder. One wrong move could lead her into the clutches of the sinister villain at the center of a conspiracy much larger than she could have ever imagined. But if she makes the right choices, Haven will find the answers she’s been seeking her entire life. This is an epic and thrilling romance set in the snake-handling churches of Appalachia, the dusty ruins of ancient Rome, and the grand mansions of Manhattan. The Eternal Ones tells the story of the first battle in a war between undying love and eternal evil.

Fan Junket: Breaking Dawn and Alternate Endings

Here is this week's Fan Junket Friday post from Twilight Series Theories! Stephenie Meyer talks about the Breaking Dawn movie, alternate endings, and censoring in the Twilight movies.
SM: I find a kind of mind with people who have had children or been around that and people who haven’t in how they receive that. Because if you’ve been through a birth scene you know this is a messy, freaky, screamy thing. And you kind of have to take that to the x power, right? You have to take it up a notch. And so for me it was really fun to write, and I didn’t even think that it was like: “Wow, this is cool! This is blood and gore! Come on let’s go!” And then like I sent it to Jodi, who’s never had children, and she’s like—
Jodi: Well no, it wasn’t that.
SM: But I think that there’s—
Jodi: I do not have children, that is true. But, it was, again I’m thinking that it’s a YA audience is what I was thinking. I was thinking with an agent’s perspective.
SM: But I was very proud I made her squeamish.
Jodi: I was just like: “This isn’t gonna make the cut. No, I’m sorry.” I was like—
SM: It got toned down.
Jodi: What were some of the other…Didn’t you say like some of the “ripping” and the bones cracking?
SM: Yeah, there were specific words like “shredding” that we had problems with.
(chatter)
Matt: Is there like a manuscript or something that we could…?
SM: I’m sure there’s an original version somewhere.
(chatter)
Kallie: That would be awesome to read.

Rosalie is Motivated by her "Personal Desires"

MTV has a short video clip and article on Nikki Reed talking about Rosalie's motives in Breaking Dawn. Check it out:
Movie Trailers - Movies Blog
"Here's how I look at it: I try not to be super opinionated and vocal, because in Hollywood, that seems to only lead you in the wrong direction," Reed said. "I try to relate this particular case to Rosalie and not make it metaphorical or symbolic of anything else."

Reed said Rosalie's strong feelings toward the baby are tied to her prior life as a human and never having had the chance to be a mother herself.

"I think that Rosalie just always wanted to be a mom, and that's how I look at it," she said. "It has nothing to do with being pro-life or anything. I think it's about her want, her need to be a mother, and this is the only opportunity she's ever going to have, so she's willing to let Bella die so she can have that and fulfill that, and that's how I look at it. It's her own personal desires."

Many of you have probably heard various rumors going around about the Breaking Dawn movie. We just got an email from Summit Entertainment saying that these are FALSE. Here's what they had to say:

- Renesmee's name will not be changed in the Breaking Dawn movie.
- Riley will not make an appearance in the movie (it's listed on Xavier's IMDb page, but that information is FALSE).
- The US release date for the Eclipse DVD has not been announced yet, anything you hear is a rumor (unless it has been confirmed by the international distributors of the movie).
- There is only one casting director working on Breaking Dawn and her name is Deborah Zane. No local auditions are being held and there are no nationwide casting notices - the advertisements you see are all fake! Deborah has set up an email address for Breaking Dawn casting inquiries (BreakingDawnCast@gmail.com).

Anna Kendrick was recently featured in a post on InterviewMagazine.com. Click here to read the interview.
BANKOFF: Twilight: Eclipse came out earlier this summer. Are those releases extra stressful for you, because they're so high-profile?

KENDRICK: Now I know what I'm doing, so it's easier. With any other movie, you're entering new territory, so it's quite different to be involved in something where it's the same characters, and the same people. You know what to expect out of the premieres and the press and stuff. So it's actually kind of nice, because you don't get very much routine in this job, and it's actually sort of interesting. It's like an annual party or something.

BANKOFF: Have you guys started doing any work on filming...?

KENDRICK: On Breaking Dawn? I know nothing. I literally know nothing.

Jackson Rathbone Talks Breaking Dawn

E! Online has an article about Jackson Rathbone and what he expects for the Breaking Dawn movie. Check it out here. He also mentions that he would love to do a Twilight prequel!
"It's one of the sad aspects of Breaking Dawn being the last two chapters of the film series, it was always a family reunion we all go out we all have fun. It's sad to see it go. [Twilight] has done so much for me in terms of broadening my audience and my art form. Hell I always wanted to play a vampire, it's cool. It's been really fun."

No, your eyes aren't deceiving you an actor actually was just grateful for what he's been given. Hope we're not the only ones having some serious Team Jasper love here.

"Honestly, I would do like Twilight Saga: Origins, Jasper's back story. I'll sign up! I'd get to play an angry civil war vampire again."

James Franco will not be in Breaking Dawn

The rumors that James Franco will be starring in Breaking Dawn are FALSE. Thanks to Gossip Cop for clearing that up! Check out what they had to say on the matter here.
James Franco recently gave an interview to Esquire in which he reveals that he’s reading Twilight and explains, “It’s for a project.”

Even though the actor added, “But that [project] is way, way off. It’s just something I’m thinking about,” his choice of reading material — not surprisingly — inspired a lot of chatter.

“It’s very possible that James Franco could be joining your favorite vampire and werewolf hotties in Breaking Dawn!” chimes HollywoodLife. Dozens of other outlets, including MTV, also wondered whether the busy Eat Pray Love actor could be sinking his teeth into a Breaking Dawn role.

Well, for good or for bad: It’s not happening.

A rep for Franco tells Gossip Cop the speculation about him joining Breaking Dawn is “not true.”

PopEater Interviews the Star of 'Vampires Suck'

PopEater recently did an interview with Jenn Proske, Becca Crane in 'Vampires Suck', and guess what? She's actually a big Twilight fan! Check out what she has to say about the movie here.
Can you tell me about your new movie, 'Vampires Suck'?
It's a parody of the whole vampire phenomenon that's happening in pop culture. I play Becca Crane, a character based off of Bella Swan. The movie follows the general arc of 'Twilight' and 'New Moon' with the whole tortured love triangle of one girl torn between two guys.

Were you familiar with the 'Twilight' films before you did this movie? What did you think of them?
Yes! For anyone, it's hard not to know about the 'Twilight Saga'! I was definitely a fan. I'd read the books and seen the movie. On set, I saw the movie hundreds of times, and I think after acting in this film, I have even more love for it all.

How do you expect diehard 'Twilight' fans to react to this film?
I think they're the ones who are going to like it most of all. They'll catch on to the subtleties and specific jokes. It's totally not a bashing. We keep the truth of the love story, but throw in some extra funny things.

Yes! For anyone, it’s hard not to know about the ‘Twilight Saga’! I was definitely a fan. I’d read the books and seen the movie. On set, I saw the movie hundreds of times, and I think after acting in this film, I have even more love for it all.

How do you expect diehard ‘Twilight’ fans to react to this film?
I think they’re the ones who are going to like it most of all. They’ll catch on to the subtleties and specific jokes. It’s totally not a bashing. We keep the truth of the love story, but throw in some extra funny things.

I thought I would share this with you guys even though it's not really Twilight related. For those of you who don't know, Robert Pattinson's sister, Lizzy Pattinson, is also a very talented musician. She recently played at a club in London and there is a review posted on The Ruckus written by our friends over at TwiCrackAddict. Below is a video of Lizzy performing.

Where will Breaking Dawn be split?

Twlighters Anonymous has a great article about where Breaking Dawn should be split for the two movies.
As we await the next films in the Twilight Saga, I can’t help but have mixed emotions. I’m not quite sure how I feel about last books being split into two films. Maybe I’ll know for sure after I experience it with the next Harry Potter movie? I can’t help but wonder whether two films truly benefits the fan’s thirst to see more of the book in film or whether it really benefits the pockets of those invested in the film. For fans it may even be a love-hate situation. There’s the bitter sweetness of accepting the delay of the end of beloved saga for as long as possible, along with the agony of waiting yet another year for extra movie. Rather than dwelling on the sadness and frustration of both, I’ve tried to preoccupy myself with two things:

Wondering instead how they plan to keep us excited for the upcoming movies and of course the question on everyone’s minds…where will they split the two movies?
